Initially founded in 1993 as a paper zine, Urban Graffiti is now an online magazine of transgressive, discursive, post-realist writing concerned with the struggles of hard edged urban living, alternative lifestyles, deviant culture – presented in their most raw and unpretentious form.

We accept unsolicited submissions of fiction, poetry, essays, manifestos, comics, b&w artwork, and photography; though we are particularly interested in new fiction. Submissions must include a plain text file of the piece, a creative biography which includes your email and any relevant web-links, and a photo portrait of yourself. Please send all queries, correspondence, and submissions to:

Urban Graffiti c/o Mark McCawley, editor

Beginning in 2011 with Issue 11 (the Vice & Debauchery issue), Urban Graffiti is produced exclusively on-line, and in both readable and printable PDF formats of hard copy issues. Urban Graffiti also retains the right to reprint accepted submissions in anthology form, as well as the right to reprint excerpts of earlier issues online for promotional purposes. All other rights then revert back to the individual authors and artists.
